Mansour Abbas has been working in recent days within the party's institutions to recruit the former Deputy Minister of National Security - who will be the first Jewish candidate ever on the Ra'am list. According to estimates, Seglovich will receive the second spot on the list for the Knesset.

The party's 28th conference is convening in Tayibe to select the first five spots, while the executive committee of the United Arab List will select the next five positions. Former MK Yoav Segalovitz is expected to be placed in a realistic spot without running, if the intensive contacts between him and Abbas come to fruition.

Following reports on secret negotiations and Yoav Saglovich's resignation from Yesh Atid, the Ra'am party is gauging public opinion. Mansour Abbas stated that decisions regarding reserved spots will be made by a special forum after the primaries, and dismissed rumors of a name change as "fake news."
