Oren Smadja

Gilad Erdan announced his Ha-Ahdut party will not run in the upcoming elections due to insufficient support and failed alliances. Olympic medalist Oren Smadja, who recently joined the party, declared he will not vote.

Oren Smadja, a new candidate for the Unity Party, argues that a state commission of inquiry should not be appointed by the judiciary. He calls for an independent investigation into the events of October 7, though he remained vague regarding his specific legislative agenda if elected.

Former judoka Oren Smadja, an Olympic bronze medalist and former head coach of the Israeli men's judo team, announced on Wednesday that he is joining the "Ha-Achdut" ("Unity") party, led by Gilad Erdan.
