The disturbing wave of blocks on the popular application in Israel has reached two well-known journalists, one of whom was forced to move to an alternative platform to continue communicating with his sources and working continuously.

An investigation by HonestReporting found that 120 out of 209 Palestinians listed in the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) database as journalists and media workers killed in Gaza had some affiliation with terrorist organizations. The examination includes various degrees of connection, from official obituaries by armed groups to employment in media outlets identified with Hamas.

The Shin Bet and the National Cyber Directorate have identified a new wave of Iranian phishing attacks targeting journalists and media personnel in Israel. The goal is to obtain sensitive information amidst current political and security developments.

After months of tension between management and the employees' representatives, agreements were reached on a reduction plan: up to seven employees will end their employment, two will be reassigned to other roles, and management committed not to carry out further layoffs among journalists in the next seven months.
