Hodeidah

Clashes between Houthi forces and pro-Saudi Yemeni government troops in Taiz and Hodeidah have left dozens dead, amid rising regional tensions and strategic threats.

Yemeni government troops have fully liberated the Hays district in the Hodeidah governorate from Houthi control. The strategic area connects key ports and central highland routes.

Saudi Arabia reported an attack on a vessel flying the kingdom's flag in the Red Sea. Shortly after, Riyadh launched strikes on the port city of Hodeidah, with reports of explosions in weapons depots. The Houthis threatened a harsh response, stating: 'Any escalation will be met with a harsher escalation.'
