Government Secretary Yossi Fuchs Expected to Step Down for New Legal Role
Government Secretary Yossi Fuchs is expected to leave his post in the Prime Minister's Office to represent the next government in the Supreme Court and eye the Attorney General role.

Government Secretary Yossi Fuchs is expected to step down from his position in the Prime Minister's Office, though the move does not signal a break with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Fuchs has been offered a new track focusing on representing the upcoming government in the Supreme Court and later being nominated for the position of Attorney General.
According to reports, the proposed trajectory for Fuchs consists of two main stages. Initially, he is slated to represent the incoming government in legal proceedings before the Supreme Court, shifting his role outside the immediate Prime Minister's Office while maintaining close ties to the administration.
Following his tenure as government representative in the Supreme Court, Fuchs is positioned to become a candidate for Attorney General. During his current term, Fuchs served as one of the key architects of the IDF draft exemption legislation within the outgoing government, marking him as a central figure in executive-judicial relations.
