The Orda printing house, now located in Kiryat Gat, was established in 1987. The construction of the current facility was recently completed, following the company's operation from three separate locations across the country: Petah Tikva, Yavne, and Tel Aviv.

The plant specializes in producing various print products, including the vast majority of materials used for voting slips in the Knesset elections. This involves over 450 million ballot papers, amounting to 11.5 million slips per party. Following the elections, all materials, totaling approximately 400 tons of paper and cardboard, are scheduled to be shredded.

Advanced Production and Security

According to information submitted by the printing company to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, its operations include content and print product production, as well as data processing and customer communication management. The facility in Kiryat Gat is one of the largest and most advanced in the world, spanning an area of 50 dunams, with 30,000 square meters of built-up space.

"We won the tender to execute this work two years ago due to our capability to produce a massive volume of print products within a reasonable timeframe," explained company CEO Roni Chaliva in a conversation from abroad.

Logistics and National Scale

The plant currently employs about 400 workers and faces a demanding logistical challenge. The ballots must be meticulously packaged in bundles of 50, with extra quantities printed to ensure a complete supply for the upcoming elections.
