MK Tali Gotliv has called for the resignation of ISA (Shin Bet) Director David Zini, accusing the internal security agency of promoting a false campaign regarding Jewish settler violence.
Criticism of the ISA Director
In a post published on her X account, Gotliv expressed severe disappointment with Zini, despite having previously supported his appointment to the high-ranking security post. She pointed to what she termed a deafening silence regarding Arab terrorism in the West Bank and alleged inaction against left-wing activists.
"If they managed to grab you by the throat too, then be brave enough and resign," Gotliv wrote on social media.
Cabinet Clashes and Political Realignment
Gotliv's remarks followed a reported confrontation during a security cabinet meeting between Zini and Minister of National Missions Orit Strock, after Strock demanded formal recognition of anti-Israeli terrorism in the West Bank. Gotliv recently made headlines following her high-profile political defection from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "Likud" party to Itamar Ben Gvir's "Otzma Yehudit" faction.
