New Deadly Front Erupts Between Houthis and Yemeni Government Forces
Houthi forces are advancing toward the strategic city of Taiz in Yemen following heavy clashes with government troops, resulting in dozens of reported militant casualties.

After seizing strategic territory in the Bab el-Mandeb strait, the Houthis are continuing their offensive. The Shia terrorist organization is aiming to move eastward to capture more territory in Yemen, with the city of Taiz as its next target.
According to Saudi media outlets supporting Yemeni government forces, the front in Taiz has recently become the bloodiest. Government forces reportedly repelled a heavy Houthi attack on the area, inflicting significant casualties on the terrorist organization. Saudi sources noted that at least 80 Houthi militants were killed during the repulsion.
Nonetheless, the fighting has not stopped, and heavy Houthi artillery strikes were recently reported targeting positions outside the city. Government forces quickly responded with airstrikes in Houthi-controlled areas.
Exact casualty numbers remain unclear, and the full extent will likely take time to assess. However, capturing Taiz would bring the Houthis one step closer to the government's temporary capital of Aden, the seizure of which would mark the most significant step toward total control of the country by the terrorist group.
