Yavne Police Indict Suspect in Series of Violent Gas Station Robberies
Yavne police concluded an investigation into armed robberies and thefts at local businesses, resulting in an indictment against the suspect on multiple charges.

The Yavne police station has concluded an extensive investigation into a series of armed robberies and thefts at local businesses and gas stations in Yavne and Ness Ziona during August. The suspect has been formally charged with five counts of aggravated robbery, attempted robbery, and theft, and will remain in custody until the legal proceedings conclude.
Investigators uncovered a violent and recurring modus operandi, revealing that the suspect wore a motorcycle helmet or head covering and carried pepper spray and a knife. In multiple instances, he sprayed clerks directly, engaged in physical struggles, and fled with thousands of shekels from cash registers.
During one particularly violent incident captured on security cameras, the suspect attacked a minor working at a gas station convenience store, sprayed him with pepper spray, and attempted to stab him before stealing the cash.
Inspector Golan Hadad, head of the Yavne police investigation department, stated that the operational and investigative work built a robust evidentiary foundation leading to the indictment, emphasizing that police will continue acting firmly to protect public safety.
