Staff Sergeant Major Itai Parson, a Yamam counter-terrorism fighter and Haifa resident, was found dead on a Haifa beach following a massive two-day search operation. Parson went to the Student Beach on Thursday afternoon and lost contact with his family.
Extensive Search Operations Across Multiple Sectors
Police, Border Guard forces, and rescue teams deployed drones, police helicopters, boats, and ATVs to locate the missing 23-year-old soldier. Police Commissioner Danny Levy and Coast District Commander Yechiel Bohdana arrived at the scene to oversee the search efforts.
Military Service and Background
Parson enlisted in January 2023, later joining the Border Guard and completing the elite Yamam undercover course. He signed on for permanent military service in December 2025. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and his partner.
