IDF Troops Thwart Ramming Attack in Northern West Bank, Two Terrorists Neutralized
A vehicular ramming attack attempt targeted IDF soldiers in the northern West Bank. One terrorist was shot dead at the scene, and a second suspect died from injuries after being apprehended.
A ramming attack attempt occurred today (Sunday) in the area of Ganim in the northern West Bank. According to preliminary reports, two suspects attempted to run over soldiers operating at the site.
The IDF stated that forces from the 890th Battalion at the location eliminated a terrorist who attempted to carry out a vehicular ramming attack against soldiers in the Ganim area under the Menashe Regional Brigade. It was further reported that there were no casualties among the forces.
A second suspect involved in the incident was apprehended while inside the vehicle used in the attack attempt and died shortly afterward from his injuries.
Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan praised the soldiers' actions and called for intensifying offensive operations in the area and restoring security checkpoints.
