Secret recordings broadcasted on Channel 13's investigative program "HaMakor" reveal behind-the-scenes PR strategies of Eyal Ravid, CEO and owner of the Victory supermarket chain. In conversations with PR strategist Gal Beisberg, the two are heard planning how to portray Ravid in the media as a champion against rising food prices.

In one conversation, Beisberg explains what he needs Ravid to say ahead of a media appearance: "I need Maayan Parti to say 'Eyal Ravid from the Victory chain is leading a fight against price hikes'—bullshit, bro, I need a spin." Ravid is later heard joking about his fabricated public persona, remarking, "I'm a paper hero."

The recordings expose a stark gap between public messaging and closed-door discussions. Ravid tells Beisberg, "I did what you told me, walk around the supermarket and blame the suppliers so they don't blame you," highlighting a deliberate effort to shift public scrutiny away from supermarket profit margins and onto food manufacturers.
