The investigation into David's past uncovered significant discrepancies regarding his previous roles. While serving at an agricultural company named Megadlit, David omitted crucial details, including the company's collapse under nearly 50 million NIS in debts and criminal charges related to illegal employment of foreign workers. Furthermore, former officials disputed recommendations attributed to them, with accountant Yoram Barzani flatly denying any knowledge of Megadlit or the documents bearing his alleged signature, calling them a complete forgery.

Reactions from officials indicate that the Government Companies Authority has referred the discrepancies to the Attorney General, and a formal criminal complaint to the police is expected. Meanwhile, David maintains that his appointment was thoroughly vetted and approved by the official Appointments Committee, dismissing all allegations of document falsification.
