"A blatant violation of sovereignty": The UAE's sharp message to Iran

The UAE strongly condemned the Iranian attack using a UAV, against which the defense system was activated over territorial waters. In Abu Dhabi, officials emphasized that they reserve the right to respond to such attacks.
The UAE stated that the attack constitutes "a dangerous escalation that is a blatant violation of the country's sovereignty, security, and stability, and a direct threat to the safety of citizens and residents."
Furthermore, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared that "the attacks represent a dangerous, aggressive, and unacceptable escalation and a direct threat to security, in a manner that contradicts the principles of international law and the UN Charter."
Earlier on Monday, Anwar Gargash, advisor to the President of the UAE, emphasized that "a situation of neither war nor peace cannot be a sustainable solution. The policy of attacking the countries of the Arab Gulf and Jordan has already proven to be a failure. What is required today are realistic and sustainable political solutions that will address the political and economic aspects of the crisis—starting from overcoming the escalation, through returning shipping in the Strait of Hormuz to its normal state, and ending with a more realistic approach than the memorandum of understanding, which failed to formulate a practical and acceptable roadmap."
