A water pipe burst that occurred overnight (between Thursday and Friday) near the Isrotel Beresheet Hotel in Mitzpe Ramon has left the luxury hotel's guests and some local residents without water.

'The entire hotel is without water, and it is impossible to shower, brush teeth, or make coffee,' one guest told Ynet. 'It has been going on since midnight, while the hotel is packed with people.' Another guest complained that with the Sabbath approaching, a solution had yet to be found. 'The arrival time for engineering equipment is several hours, and the onset of the Sabbath certainly complicates the repairs. At least several areas are currently disconnected from the water supply.'

Later, it was reported that water tankers were dispatched to the hotel. Marina, a guest, said: 'We arrived yesterday with a two-year-old toddler. I couldn't wash my daughter at all. They brought us bottles to wash our hands. It's crazy. At midnight, my husband heard the water explosion, and we have been without water ever since.'

The CEO of the Ma'ayanot HaDarom water corporation stated that teams have been working on the issue since the night, noting that it involves a deep-seated water line. 'We are performing a bypass to reconnect the hotel to the water supply as quickly as possible,' he said, promising that the issue should be resolved within a few hours.
