A fire broke out this morning, Tuesday, on HaOrgim Street in Holon. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics and EMTs arriving at the scene found a woman aged about 40 with no signs of life, suffering from burns and smoke inhalation. They were forced to declare her death on the spot.
MDA paramedics Lior Paz and Omri Vixelbaum reported that upon arrival, they encountered heavy smoke and flames. According to them, firefighters rescued the woman, who was unconscious, pulseless, and not breathing, with clear signs of burns and smoke inhalation.
"We performed medical checks and unfortunately were forced to declare her death," they stated, adding that additional MDA teams remained on-site to provide medical support as needed.
Several days ago, a fire broke out in an underground parking lot at the construction site of the future BIG shopping complex in Petah Tikva. The fire started in an area where plastic and pipes were stored, causing heavy smoke. The Israel Fire and Rescue Authority reported that extinguishing the fire in the underground parking lot took many hours.
