Hapoel Be'er Sheva player expected to join Maccabi Petah Tikva next week
Yoav Koren, who returned from a loan at Hapoel Kfar Saba and did not play in the Champions League qualifiers, is expected to join the Petah Tikva club after the second leg against Red Star Belgrade.
Maccabi Petah Tikva expects to receive Yoav Koren on loan until the end of the season immediately after the Hapoel Be'er Sheva match against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday. Koren returned to Hapoel Be'er Sheva from a loan at Hapoel Kfar Saba last season and showed good form in training under Ran Kozuch, who decided to keep him in the squad for European matches. Since then, the player has been with Hapoel Be'er Sheva for all Champions League qualifying matches but has not received any minutes on the pitch.
Within the framework of the good relations between Maccabi Petah Tikva and Hapoel Be'er Sheva, and following the deals made this summer, in which Maccabi sold Niv Yehoshua and Marco Wolff to Hapoel, Yoav Koren is set to move to Petah Tikva on loan. Last season, he was loaned to Hapoel Kfar Saba, where he scored seven goals and had a successful campaign.
Meanwhile, the club is preparing for tomorrow's Toto Cup match against Hapoel Ramat Gan (Sunday, 20:00, Sport3). After losing all three opening rounds, the goal is, beyond using these games as training and preparation, to stop the losing streak and record the first points in the competition.
