Retired Turkish Admiral Cihat Yaycı, former Chief of Staff of the Turkish Navy and architect of the "Blue Homeland" maritime doctrine, has issued a severe and belligerent threat against Israel during an interview with Turkish media outlet GZT.

Analyzing a security map allegedly published by Israel, Yaycı warned of a broad Israeli psychological operation aimed at turning Syria into its backyard and preventing the strengthening of the central government in Damascus. He claimed that Israeli maneuvers seek to ignite a widespread Sunni-Shiite religious conflict in the Middle East, dividing nations into separate hostile camps.

The most extreme portion of the interview focused on a direct military confrontation between Ankara and Jerusalem. Yaycı asserted that Israel is incapable of conducting a comprehensive ground war against Turkey. "Israel might launch an aerial operation against Turkey, but afterward 30 million men will flow south, and no one will be able to stop them," he declared.

Expanding on his threat, the former senior military official claimed that Turkish forces would march across the region unhindered. "Syria will not be able to stop us, Lebanon will not stand in our way, and we will simply pass through Israel," he stated.

Yaycı concluded with a direct threat against the IDF, dismissing Israeli military capabilities. "If the Turkish army and the Israeli army stand face to face on the battlefield, the Turkish army will crush the Israeli army just as one crushes an insect. I have no doubt about it, and no one else should either."
