Tsahi Halevi Guards Satirical Icon Limor in Special "Rak BeIsrael" Broadcast
Actor and reservist Tsahi Halevi takes on a surprising new role as bodyguard to satirical icon Limor in a special reunion of "Rak BeIsrael" supporting young cancer patients.

Actor and IDF reservist Tsahi Halevi, known for tough roles and extreme situations, is taking on a surprisingly new job as the close bodyguard of the unforgettable reality and satire icon Limor, played by Orna Banai.
Halevi is participating in a special broadcast of the legendary satirical show "Rak BeIsrael" (Keshet 12), an iconic humor program created by Erez Tal and Orna Banai in the late 1990s that shaped television in Israel. As part of the special, which follows Limor's run for the Knesset at the head of her own party, Halevi is tasked with protecting her ahead of the upcoming elections.
In an interview with mako, Halevi spoke about the heavy responsibility on his shoulders, describing the role as one of the most challenging missions of his life, even more demanding than combat military service. When asked who he needs to protect Limor from, Halevi smiled and pointed to her longtime partner: "Mainly guarding her from Shimon (Erez Tal), he's the most threatening one there. He's an enemy from within, looks nice but is the most dangerous." Halevi even joked that the strict protocols almost led him to use live fire.
Alongside the humor, the special broadcast is being produced in collaboration with the "Halasartan" association, which supports young adults battling cancer. Halevi emphasized that he did not hesitate for a moment to join the project: "The moment there is something with a deep value-driven purpose, it's not just filming. Supporting young people coping with cancer is extremely important, and I hope the broadcast will open the public's heart to support this community."
