Rotem Zisman-Cohen Returns to Acting in New Film by Eliran Malka
Israeli actress Rotem Zisman-Cohen is returning to the screen after a long hiatus to star in Eliran Malka's new film "HaOleh", portraying a devoted conversion teacher.

Rotem Zisman-Cohen is returning to acting after a multi-year hiatus spent focusing on her family and spiritual path. The celebrated actress, who stepped away from the spotlight following her teshuva process, will star in Eliran Malka's upcoming feature film titled "HaOleh" (The Ascender).
In the new cinematic project, Zisman-Cohen is set to portray Tzvia, a devoted and veteran conversion teacher who guides immigrants through their journey toward Judaism. The character delicately balances rigorous adherence to halakha with profound empathy and patience for individuals navigating a bureaucratic system.
The film is directed and written by Eliran Malka, known for his previous works "Motalim BeSafeq" and "The Good City". Malka recently made headlines by joining the Yashar party led by Gadi Eisenkot, alongside his role as chairman of the Israeli Directors Guild.
