Dorin Segal Breaks Down in Tears at Emotional Memorial Event
Dorin Segal broke down in tears while lighting a memorial candle for her late husband, Lior Segol, during an emotional Selichot event hosted by producer Sean Blaysh.
More than four years have passed since Dorin Segal lost her husband and the father of her three children, Lior Segol, of blessed memory. Last night, during the annual Selichot evening hosted by producer Sean Blaysh, Segol lit a candle in memory of her late husband and could not hold back her tears.
"For the elevation of the soul of your dear husband. May you continue to sanctify God's name, and may He send you mental and physical health and good tidings," said fitness influencer Sher Fitness, who hosted the event. Later, the former fitness icon asked Segol to light an additional candle for Elijah the Prophet, but at that point, Segol broke down in crying and struggled to continue.
Jackie Azoulay, who stood by her side, hugged her, and Fitness turned to Netali Dadon, who also arrived at the evening, asking her to light the candle in Segol's place.
The two were married for 20 years, until Lior passed away at the age of 45 after being sedated and ventilated for long months at Sheba Medical Center, Tel HaShomer, following severe pneumonia. Since his death, Segol has frequently spoken about coping with the loss and the place he continues to hold in her life.
