US President Donald Trump shared an article on Wednesday via his social media platform Truth Social from the US news outlet Newsmax, headlined "Netanyahu Bloc Leads in Latest Israeli Election Poll." The article, published a few days ago, focused on a survey indicating a significant advantage for the right-wing bloc led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to the full poll data presented ahead of the elections scheduled for October 27, the Netanyahu bloc secures 54 mandates compared to 52 mandates for the opposition bloc, with the two Arab parties receiving the remaining 14 mandates. The survey indicates a two-mandate advantage for the prime minister's camp, pointing to a turnaround from previous polls where the opposition led.
The poll, conducted among 886 respondents with a margin of error of 3.3 percent, shows the Likud party receiving 18 mandates, while Gadi Eisenkot's party receives 22, the Bennett-Lapid list (Be-Yachad) 12, The Democrats 10, and other parties such as Religious Zionism, Otzma Yehudit, Yisrael Beytenu, Shas, and United Torah Judaism dividing the remaining mandates. Trump's sharing of the article once again reflects his support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and their longstanding friendship.
