Seven Arrested in Tel Aviv for Burglaries Committed During Yom Kippur

During Yom Kippur, officers from the Lev Tel Aviv police station in the Yarkon region conducted overt and covert operations against property criminals, deploying across various locations in the city. Early Monday morning, authorities received a report regarding a break-in at a café on HaYarkon Street, from which the suspects fled.
During the operation, officers located two suspects in their 20s, residents of Tel Aviv, riding a scooter nearby. A search of their possessions yielded property belonging to the business, including two laptops.
In a separate incident early in the morning, a man in his 30s from Sakhnin was arrested. According to suspicions, he was caught red-handed exiting a liquor store with over ten bottles of alcohol worth hundreds of shekels.
Another incident involved a break-in at a pizzeria on HaShlosha Street in Tel Aviv. Following the burglary, two suspects were arrested and taken in for questioning.
In another event on Monday afternoon, a man in his 40s from Binyamin Region was arrested. Suspects indicate he was caught red-handed hiding inside a restaurant on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv while attempting to evade arriving police officers.
Sunday evening, police received a report regarding an apartment burglary on Balfour Street in Tel Aviv. Officers initiated search operations and shortly thereafter arrested a man in his 30s from Lod. Officers recovered a bicycle belonging to the apartment owner alongside a sum of cash.
Overall, seven suspects were detained across five different burglary incidents during Yom Kippur. The suspects were transferred to the Lev Tel Aviv station for interrogation. The detention of several suspects was extended by the court, while others are scheduled for extension hearings.
