Conviction and Plea Bargain Details
The prosecution had requested a 13-year prison term, but the court ultimately handed down a six-year sentence. Levin confessed to the facts in the amended indictment as part of a plea bargain that did not include an agreement regarding the final punishment.
"As part of the settlement, the defendant committed to depositing 750,000 shekels as compensation to the victims prior to the sentencing arguments and requested the permanent revocation of his medical license," court records show.

According to the amended indictment, Levin served as a pediatric gastroenterology expert starting in 1998 and led the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Unit at Wolfson Medical Center from 2003.
