Tayibe Resident Charged With Murder After Luring Victim Into Fatal Trap
The Central District Attorney's Office charged a Tayibe resident with the murder of Ziad Bishara, who was shot dead in front of his family after being lured to a remote location under the guise of a carpentry job.

The Central District Attorney's Office filed an indictment at the Lod District Court charging 29-year-old Abd al-Rahman Masarwa from Tayibe with the murder of Ziad Bishara last August. According to the charges, Masarwa lured the victim into a fatal trap by posing as a client seeking carpentry work.
The Operational SIM and the Luring of the Victim
The incident took place last August when Masarwa and two unidentified accomplices plotted to kill Bishara, who earned his living by building pergolas. Investigators revealed that the defendant purchased a dedicated SIM card and operated it from a burner phone to conceal his tracks. At around 17:00, he called the victim, posed as a prospective customer interested in woodworks, and asked him to meet at a high school in Tayibe for measurements.
Buying Coffee and Arranging the Ambush
Bishara, believing it was a legitimate business opportunity, drove to the area around 19:00 accompanied by his wife, Riam, and their young daughter. For hours, Masarwa maintained contact, directing him toward an isolated dirt parking lot near the school. As they arrived, the defendant sent a voice note claiming he was grabbing coffee and would arrive in three minutes. Simultaneously, he demanded to know the make of the victim's vehicle, which prosecutors say was intended to ensure the assassins could identify him with certainty in the dark.
Point-Blank Shooting Before the Family
At approximately 21:00, two masked motorcyclists dressed in black pulled up alongside the family's pickup truck. They drew close to the open front window where the wife was seated, and the pillion passenger thrust a pistol into the vehicle. He fired seven bullets at close range into the driver before fleeing. Bishara suffered severe trauma and blood loss, and his death was pronounced at the scene.
Indifference Murder Charge
Although Masarwa did not pull the trigger himself, he is charged with murder with conscious indifference as part of a conspiracy. The prosecution emphasized that his primary role was orchestrating the deception, directing the victim to the isolated spot, and ensuring he remained there until the hitmen arrived. Immediately following the shooting, Masarwa discarded the burner phone used for the trap and returned home.
