Survivor Premieres on Reshet 13 With First Elimination and Controversy
The new season of Survivor premiered on Reshet 13 with strict elimination rules and a celebrity-civilian mix. Avi Shushan's controversial remarks drew heavy criticism, while attorney Chaya Apolion became the first contestant eliminated.

The new season of the hit reality show "Survivor", broadcast on Reshet 13 and hosted by Guy Zuaratv, premiered with its first elimination under new format rules ensuring that eliminated contestants cannot return to the game.
This season features a mix of 10 celebrities, including former "Big Brother" contestants, alongside non-celebrity participants. Before the broadcast even began, the season generated significant buzz due to potential romances and high-profile conflicts on the island.
Participant Avi Shushan sparked considerable controversy in his introductory profile by stating he was "the first to pay for the October 7 failure," referring to his high-profile dismissal as the spokesperson for Ichilov Hospital. Former hostage Rom Braslavsky, who was kidnapped from the Nova music festival and held in the Gaza Strip, strongly criticized Shushan's remarks, questioning the smiling attitude toward the tragic date.
Reshet 13 launched the season earlier than planned ahead of the elections, a move that resulted in celebrity contestant Shay-Hai missing the premiere due to a trip to Japan. The first contestant eliminated under the strict new rules is 25-year-old attorney Chaya Apolion, who expressed her heartbreak over the early exit.
