Maayan Adam Returns to TV Week After Birth, Sheds Tears With Eisenkot
Just a week after giving birth to her third son, Israeli presenter Maayan Adam returned to television, breaking into tears during an emotional on-air exchange with Gadi Eisenkot about the bereaved families and upcoming elections.

Just a week after giving birth to her third son, Israeli media personality and entrepreneur Maayan Adam returned to the television studio, but broke down in tears during a broadcast of Keshet 12's "Haim VeMaayan" program alongside co-host Haim Etgar.
During the live show, guest Gadi Eisenkot offered his personal congratulations on the birth while addressing the complex period her family has experienced over recent years. "I know how meaningful this is for you and the entire family after these past few years. Even out of difficult situations, there is hope," Eisenkot said. Adam visibly moved, responded by mentioning her late younger sister, Ma'ap, who was murdered in the October 7 Nova music festival massacre.
Adam called on the public to dedicate their upcoming election votes to the memory of those who lost their lives in the terror attacks and the war, emphasizing the importance of remembering victims who can no longer vote. Eisenkot echoed similar sentiments, stressing the need to be worthy of the wonderful generation that fought and sacrificed.
Beyond the emotional on-air moment, Adam's swift return to work sparked widespread public discussion. Having welcomed her third son just days earlier—a brother to Tavor and Kedem—she stepped back into the presenter's chair just before her son's brit milah ceremony. Adam dismissed potential criticism regarding her early return, explaining that her work brings a sense of purpose. "All it takes is makeup, hair, and sitting here. We both have public roles, and this is our fuel; we have no life without this. We need to feel meaningful," she explained, adding with a smile that she was not working in a coal mine.
Adam's return drew support from fellow journalists, including Channel 12 reporter Adva Dadon and designer Moshik Gamin, who emphasized that every woman has the right to choose when to return to work following childbirth. Meanwhile, Adam's personal life has seen double celebrations; on the very day of the birth, her partner Yuval Tzelner surprised her in the delivery room by proposing marriage, capping off a monumental week for the growing family.
