Sun Dor, a subsidiary of El Al, is expanding its route network and launching a direct flight to Marrakech, Morocco, starting November 16, 2026, pending regulatory approvals.

Flights to the vibrant Moroccan city will operate twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Introductory round-trip fares for the LITE ticket, which includes a trolley and hand luggage, will start at 599 dollars.

Marrakech is considered an ideal winter destination due to its mild desert climate, allowing travelers to explore local markets, magnificent palaces, and the nearby Atlas Mountains. This new route joins 13 other winter destinations operated by Sun Dor, including Batumi, Tbilisi, Verona, Salzburg, Warsaw, Paphos, Larnaca, and Lyon. Passengers can also accrue and redeem points through El Al's frequent flyer club.

Sun Dor CEO Gal Gershon welcomed the launch: "We are pleased to expand and diversify the destination map for Israeli travelers. In response to demand, we will operate direct flights to Marrakech, an exotic city full of markets and fascinating culture unlike anywhere else."

This announcement follows the recent expansion of Sun Dor's winter schedule, which includes a new route to Verona, Italy, starting October 25, 2026, with introductory round-trip fares starting at 299 dollars.
