Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev Announces Plans to Launch New Dating App
Simon Leviev, known as the 'Tinder Swindler', plans to launch a new dating app designed to expose liars and scammers, claiming his past experience gives him unique detection skills.

Simon Leviev, globally known as the "Tinder Swindler", is returning to the dating world – this time on the side of protecting users. Leviev revealed that he plans to launch a new dating app aimed, according to him, at identifying liars, impersonators, and fake users.
In an interview with the British ITV network, Leviev claimed that after being convicted and serving a prison sentence for fraud, theft, and forgery, he seeks to return to society as a "rehabilitated man". According to him, his personal experience actually gives him the necessary tools to spot attempts at fraud and manipulation.
"I lived for ten years with a fake passport. I know how to lie, I know how to cheat, I know how to manipulate. This is not something I hide," Leviev said. "Of course I was convicted. Of course I am not proud of it, but maybe this is a skill set that others out there do not have."
Host Ben Shephard was unimpressed by the new initiative and confronted Leviev on air. "There will be people watching this today who will think it is completely pointless for you to launch a dating app," he told him, adding: "You are infamous for being anything other than someone who can be trusted."
