Rats Invade Living Quarters at IDF Sayarim Base, Sparking Soldier Outrage

Female soldiers taking an observation command course at the Sayarim base have reported a severe rat infestation in their living quarters. According to the soldiers, rodents have been roaming the rooms, climbing onto beds, and getting into personal belongings.

An angry father of one of the soldiers told Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth that repeated complaints to the command staff were dismissed. He stated that the soldiers were told to show "maturity and patience" and were criticized for acting like children when they sought help after finding rats running over their beds.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit responded that the issue was handled immediately upon receipt. The army stated that primary trapping equipment was provided and that a military health team alongside an exterminator were dispatched to resolve the issue at the base.
