The Ministry of Health has issued an urgent warning against using the hair-straightening product "Revival Miracle" following the hospitalization of a woman at Rambam Health Care Campus. Authorities have ordered an immediate halt to the use, marketing, and sale of the product, highlighting severe health risks associated with unauthorized cosmetics containing banned chemical components.

According to preliminary investigations by the ministry, the product is marketed without a valid license or cosmetics notification. The packaging indicates that the formula contains glyoxylic acid, a substance strictly prohibited for use in hair-straightening treatments in Israel. The product label identifies the manufacturer as F.R. Colordesign.

As part of the ongoing investigation, a ministry representative visited the hair salon where the product was administered and collected a sample for laboratory testing. Authorities also contacted the manufacturer listed on the label, but no response has been received to date. Officials view the incident with utmost gravity, reiterating that unapproved cosmetics pose a direct threat to public safety.

The ministry urges the public and salon owners to immediately cease using "Revival Miracle" and to avoid purchasing or distributing it. Consumers are advised to verify that all cosmetic products carry proper licensing through the official ministry database. Individuals experiencing abnormal symptoms—such as reduced urination, swelling, nausea, vomiting, or extreme fatigue following a hair treatment—are advised to seek immediate medical attention and inform healthcare providers of the product used.

This incident follows a similar case in July 2026, when the ministry warned against the "LEGEND" hair-straightening product after a woman was hospitalized in intensive care with severe kidney failure following a home-salon treatment in Hadera. Authorities reiterate that inspections and investigations into dangerous unauthorized cosmetics will continue nationwide.
