The Religious Zionism party announced on Wednesday the opening of registration for new settlement nuclei in the Negev and the Galilee, as part of a plan to expand Jewish settlement in both regions.

According to the plan, the party aims to add one million Jews to the Negev and the Galilee, establish 40 new settlements and dozens of farms, expand existing localities, and create hundreds of thousands of housing solutions.

The initiative comes against the backdrop of the decision to evacuate the compound established near Majd al-Krum. On the registration website launched by the party, applicants can choose whether to join a nucleus in the Negev, the Galilee, or both, with exact locations and establishment stages to be provided later.

Minister of Finance and Religious Zionism leader Bezalel Smotrich stated that Israel is "a step away from total loss of control in the Negev and the Galilee." He added that "wherever there is Jewish settlement, there will be security," and called on the public to join the new settlement nuclei.
