The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism launched an international campaign exposing how the United Nations has promoted an anti-Israel narrative since October 7. The campaign is centered around a new website that compiles data on the conduct of UN agencies, revealing systemic bias, information manipulation, and false claims regarding the conflict in Gaza.
Ahead of the UN General Assembly's general debate, the ministry rolled out the digital campaign targeting audiences in the United States, including journalists, diplomats, and decision-makers. The newly launched platform breaks down the mechanisms of anti-Israel bias across six key chapters, offering a detailed look at how unverified data is processed and amplified within international bodies.
Information Manipulation and Institutional Culture
The website meticulously details the structural flaws within international organizations. It covers areas such as information manipulation by UN actors, highlighting statistical distortions and missing context, alongside a toxic institutional culture that allows one-sided positions to take root.
The terms 'genocide' and 'famine' were thrown around right from the start. The crimes were defined in advance, and then the organizations tried to prove them. For me, that is completely abnormal, said Dr. Michel Thieren, a World Health Organization representative.
UNRWA and the Manufacturing of the Genocide Narrative
Another core section of the platform addresses UNRWA compromised, presenting intelligence findings regarding the deep infiltration of Hamas operatives into the agency's ranks, with at least 12 percent of its Gaza staff tied to terrorist factions, alongside underground infrastructure discovered beneath UN facilities.
The portal also examines the manufacturing of a genocide narrative, detailing how severe accusations against Israel were formulated without proper factual basis, creating a self-reinforcing ecosystem where propaganda laundering turns unverified militant claims into accepted international truths.
Testimonies from Within the UN System
The campaign features statements from UN officials detailing internal censorship and pressure. Alice Wairimu Nderitu, the former UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, noted that she faced daily harassment for refusing to label the conflict as genocide without formal legal backing, ultimately resulting in her contract not being renewed.
