Rehovot High-Rise Residents Fight to Block Notorious Criminal Move
High-rise residents in Rehovot are fighting to prevent a notorious criminal from moving into their building, fearing rival attacks and endangerment to families.

Residents of a high-rise residential tower in Rehovot are mounting a determined campaign to block a notorious criminal from moving into the building, fearing that rival underworld factions will target him and endanger their families. The individual in question has survived multiple previous assassination attempts and remains a high-priority target for underworld rivals.
According to a building resident familiar with the details, a penthouse apartment was recently leased to the criminal. "Our biggest fear is that rival criminals will come here to settle scores, turning us and our children into targets," the resident stated. "We are shaking with fear at the thought of such a criminal living among us. If they tried to assassinate him before, why wouldn't they come here to hurt him? We bought our apartments with our hard-earned money to live in a prestigious, high-quality environment, not surrounded by criminals."
In recent days, information regarding the impending relocation reached both the residents and intelligence units within the Israel Police. Tenants learned that the incoming occupant plans to install private security cameras and be accompanied by bodyguards, further escalating fears that these measures will attract violent attacks.
While residents acknowledge the legal limitations of preventing someone from residing in a building solely based on a criminal record, they are actively organizing to halt the move. Some families are reportedly considering selling their properties and relocating if the tenant takes up residence, emphasizing the severe distress felt by parents raising young children in the tower.
