Jerusalem Court Indicts Police Officer for Theft in Hebron Homes
A Jerusalem District Court indictment charges a former police officer with stealing valuables from Palestinian homes and possessing stolen IDF ammunition between 2022 and 2023.

An indictment was filed at the Jerusalem District Court against a police officer who served in the Hebron sector, charging him with stealing money and property from Palestinian homes during operational activities, as well as possessing stolen IDF weaponry and ammunition. According to the indictment, the officer abused his authority to steal private property and valuables during searches conducted in homes between 2022 and 2023.
The indictment, filed by attorney Daniel Arfi, details a series of incidents in Hebron and its surroundings, as well as in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood of Jerusalem. During operational searches for weapons, the officer systematically stole cash in shekels and foreign currency, credit cards, checks, gold jewelry, watches, and mobile phones.
In December 2023, a search of the defendant's home uncovered numerous stolen items alongside unauthorized military equipment and ammunition, including an IDF smoke grenade and a box containing 15 fireworks. The charges include multiple counts of theft by a public servant, fraud, breach of trust, and illegal possession of explosive materials.
