Three residents of Ar'ara in the Negev, suspected of involvement in an October 2025 murder, were arrested Tuesday in the West Bank after allegedly hiding there for about a year to evade capture.

The arrests were carried out by Yamam counter-terrorism forces in cooperation with local police officers following an extended intelligence operation.

The three suspects are implicated in the fatal shooting of Sameh Talaat Abu Arar, a member of the Madaan family, amid a violent local family feud. Four other suspects were previously arrested in connection with the case and face formal indictments for murder and accessory to murder.

According to police, investigators maintained a covert operation over recent months to track down the fugitives. Once their hideouts were located, Yamam operatives raided multiple locations in the West Bank.

One suspect was detained at a bus terminal near the settlement of Rehalim. In a separate operation following intelligence provided by the Samaria crime-fighting unit, officers raided a safe house in the village of Funduq and apprehended the remaining two suspects.

All three detainees were transferred for ongoing questioning at the local police station and the Negev District central investigative unit.
