PSG Sets Champions League Record with Four Goals in Opening 17 Minutes
Paris Saint-Germain set a Champions League record by scoring four goals in just eight minutes against Villarreal, securing a historic 17-minute milestone.

Paris Saint-Germain delivered a historic performance in the Champions League, scoring four goals against Villarreal between the 9th and 17th minutes. Joao Neves opened the scoring in the 9th minute, followed by Desire Doue in the 12th, Senny Mayulu in the 13th, and Fabian Ruiz in the 17th minute, setting a new tournament record for the fastest four goals by a single team.
Historic Records Broken
No other team in Champions League history has ever netted four goals within the opening 17 minutes of a match. The previous closest record was held by Real Madrid, who secured a 4-0 lead against Dinamo Zagreb in the 20th minute back in November 2011. Furthermore, PSG became the first away side to score three goals within the first 13 minutes in the competition's history, surpassing a milestone previously set by Borussia Dortmund against Legia Warsaw in 2016.
Unprecedented Attacking Form
This explosive display occurred despite the absence of injured key players Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with Ferran Torres starting on the bench. With this latest offensive masterclass, the reigning European champions have accumulated an astonishing 18 goals across their first four group stage fixtures, marking a new club record.
