Panathinaikos Prepares to Host Maccabi Tel Aviv in EuroLeague Clash
Panathinaikos hosts Maccabi Tel Aviv in the EuroLeague. Coach Željko Obradović warns his players to expect a tough battle and high intensity.
After securing two easy victories at the start of the season, Panathinaikos will host Maccabi Tel Aviv tomorrow (Friday) in an attempt to remain undefeated in the EuroLeague.
We must be ready for Maccabi, said legendary coach Željko Obradović. This is a team with many good players who possess the character of their coach. I am sure they will come to OAKA and put on a much better game than the one they played yesterday. We need to be ready for this.
The decorated coach added and paid respect to the opponent: We need to understand how we will play in this game. They play defense with switches, pressing all over the court. We need to see what will happen in the one-on-one game. We must be concentrated.
Regarding the burden inherent in a double EuroLeague week: We need to think about this carefully, especially in double weeks. It is important that we divide the time between the players. Sometimes we cannot do it, but yesterday against Villeurbanne we succeeded.
