British singer Paloma Faith has spoken out against Ed Sheeran following his decision to drop rapper Macklemore from his US tour due to the latter's pro-Palestinian remarks. In recent years, Faith has emerged as a vocal figure in pro-Palestinian protests, and in an interview with Britain's Channel 4, she openly criticized Sheeran.

According to Faith, Sheeran attempted to portray himself as an apolitical figure in statements following Macklemore's dismissal, yet he selectively avoids politics when convenient. She pointed out that they once played a show together to raise funds for Ukraine, noting that he certainly was not apolitical back then. She added that she fails to see why one cause is deemed more political than the other.

When the interviewer confronted her with Sheeran's explanation that he prefers to stay out of politics because many of his listeners are children, Faith dismissed the argument. She stated that she did not like that excuse, emphasizing that there are many children in Palestine who have endured unimaginable hardships, and shared that she tells her own children 'Free Palestine' every night.
