Basalt Sounds 2026 Festival in Katzrin Marks Golan Milestones
The Basalt Sounds 2026 festival in Katzrin will feature five musical evenings in October, marking 50 years of Katzrin and 60 years of Golan settlement.
The "Basalt Sounds 2026" festival will take place during October at the newly renovated Basalt Amphitheater in Katzrin village, featuring five evenings of Israeli music. Prominent artists including Ehud Baney, Avihayahu Pinhasov, Dudu Tassa, Rinat Bar, and Agam Buhbut are set to perform. Gates will open at 7:30 PM, with performances starting at 9:00 PM.
A Milestone Celebration for the Golan
This year's festival holds special significance as it marks the opening of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of Katzrin and 60 years since the renewal of settlement in the Golan. Organizers aim to blend Israeli music, local craft beer, culinary experiences, and the unique atmosphere of the Golan to attract visitors from all over the country.
Tickets are priced at a flat rate of 50 shekels per show. The events are part of a broader push to develop cultural, touristic, and leisure hubs in the region, boosting local tourism and economy.
Leadership Vision and Schedule
"Basalt Sounds is already part of the cultural identity of Katzrin and the Golan, and this year it opens our year of celebrations," said Yehuda Dua, head of the Katzrin local council.
Uri Kelner, head of the Golan Regional Council, added that these milestones reflect decades of community building and growth in the region.
The festival lineup features Ehud Baney on October 14, Avihayahu Pinhasov on October 15, Dudu Tassa on October 22, Rinat Bar on October 26, and Agam Buhbut on October 27.
