Police are investigating the arson of a vehicle belonging to the Nigerian Embassy in Israel, which was used by an immigration official working at the embassy. The car, parked a few streets away from the employee's home in Kfar Saba, was set on fire on September 20, and two of its tires were punctured. An arson investigator concluded that it was an intentional act.

As part of the investigation, authorities reviewed security camera footage, which revealed that the vehicle had recently entered and exited Tira. Investigators are now examining the purpose of the embassy employee's trips to Tira and whether they are connected to the arson. The area where the car was burned lacks street cameras, leaving police without direct footage of the incident.

During questioning, the employee raised two potential motives: a romantic dispute with his wife, or retaliation from an individual whose visa application was denied. At this stage, no evidence links the arson to either hypothesis.

The employee's mobile phone has been seized, and investigators are working to extract data that may help solve the case. The investigation is being conducted at the Kfar Saba police station, and a definitive motive has not yet been established.
