IDF forces arrested the terrorist who murdered an Israeli citizen near Neveh Tzuf on the eve of Yom Kippur. Duvdevan unit fighters captured the suspect in a Ramallah hospital, where he was found in a bed connected to a ventilator following wounds sustained from a tracker's gunfire during the attack.
According to preliminary details from the scene, the terrorist arrived at the spring area by vehicle, exited armed with a long gun, and opened fire at point-blank range at the young man. After the shooting, the terrorist fled on foot while a local tracker shot and wounded him.
Following the deadly attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the IDF and Shin Bet to operate with reinforced forces in the West Bank. The directives include imposing closures, conducting offensive operations and arrests, and immediately demolishing the terrorist's home.
