Southern District police officers, alongside National Guard border fighters and specialized units, conducted a sweeping law enforcement operation across the Negev, seizing numerous illegal weapons, stolen ammunition, and large quantities of drugs.

In the town of Tel Sheva, officers responded to an emergency call regarding a minor attacking his family members. Upon police arrival, the 15-year-old suspect attempted to flee on foot. A police drone deployed overhead tracked his movements and guided ground forces to his apprehension. A body search revealed 5.56 mm caliber ammunition rounds, while an improvised firearm wrapped in plastic wrap was located nearby. The minor was arrested and transferred to the HaAyarot station for further questioning.

Simultaneously, a targeted operation in Rahat uncovered a major weapons cache hidden within residential compounds. Officers seized three M-16 assault rifles, two Glock pistols, an improvised handgun, a Carlo-style submachine gun, dozens of magazines, and hundreds of rounds of military ammunition. Furthermore, approximately 25 kilograms of hashish were confiscated during the raids. Several suspects were taken into custody as authorities reiterate their commitment to cracking down on illegal arms trafficking in the region.
