Meanwhile, a major structural shift is underway. Nasdaq announced that starting December 6, 2026, it will add an overnight trading session running from 21:00 to 04:00 New York time. This move is part of a broader transition toward a 23-hour trading day, five days a week.
While regular trading hours will remain unchanged, this expansion will significantly widen the trading window for international investors. Standard US trading hours run from 09:30 to 16:00 New York time, which typically corresponds to 16:30 to 23:00 Israel time.
