German dairy giant Müller, founded in 1896 by Ludwig Müller in a small southern village, is expanding its footprint in the Israeli market through its local partner Tara. The company announced the launch of two new high-protein milk beverages, featuring 40 grams of protein per bottle in coffee and vanilla flavors.

Expanding Protein Portfolio

The new beverages hit store shelves in October, adding to the Müller Protein lineup introduced in June 2025. Housed in convenient 350-milliliter individual bottles, these drinks surpass the existing 25-gram protein variants, catering directly to fitness enthusiasts and consumers seeking accessible daily nutrition on the go.

"The growing demand for high-protein dairy reflects a broader shift toward functional nutrition, bridging the gap between athletic recovery and everyday convenience," industry analysts note.

Market Trends and Nutritional Considerations

Over recent years, protein-enriched yogurts, dairy drinks, and puddings have transitioned from niche gym products into mainstream supermarket staples. This growth is driven by rising nutritional awareness regarding muscle recovery and balanced diets, allowing consumers to bypass traditional powders and supplements.

However, health experts advise looking beyond the headline protein numbers. Factors such as sugar content, total fats, calorie count, and portion size vary significantly across brands, making label reading essential for balanced dietary choices.
