Great joy and a moment of relief for Minister of Transport Miri Regev: almost three years after she was among the survivors of the October 7 events at the Nova festival, her daughter, Michal Regev, is embarking on a new path in life and has become engaged to her partner, Nativ Atar. The two chose to share the happy news through a photogenic photo by the sea, and immediately received a warm wave of blessings and wishes from friends and family.

This happy news comes for Regev at the height of a stormy and busy period, in the midst of the Likud primaries where she is placed in the 17th spot. However, this time, the political arena and party struggles have made room for an especially moving family moment, which brings with it great hope after the turbulent period the family went through.

For Michal, the road to this moment includes a real personal miracle. On that fateful Saturday morning in Re'im, the car in which she was traveling with her friend was hit by heavy fire during the attempt to escape the area. The two managed with great resourcefulness to flee for their lives and arrive safely in the Be'er Sheva area, while her mother, who was in Mexico at the time, tried with deep concern to obtain a shred of information from security officials.

One of the unforgettable moments from that dramatic morning was the short conversation in which Michal managed to tell her mother:

«Mom, I was shot and everything is okay»

Before a guy who was with her took the phone and reassured the worried minister. Now, almost three years after those nerve-wracking minutes, the difficult memories are giving way to a shared, stable, and happy future for the young couple.
