Yam Madar delivered his best EuroLeague career performance on Tuesday, scoring 22 points, but it was not enough to prevent Maccabi Tel Aviv from suffering a painful 90:87 defeat against Barcelona. Madar shot 8/11 from the field, but suffered a knock late in the game following a duel with Kevin Punter, leaving him in visible pain during the closing moments.

The Yellowians will hope the injury is not serious, as they face a tough away match against Valencia on Thursday with a 1:4 record to start the season. Madar reassured fans after the match, stating, "It is just a fall, some ice and we will recover for Thursday."

Meanwhile, Maccabi voiced sharp criticism toward the referees over a series of controversial calls. Head coach Oded Kattash admitted his frustration, saying, "I was frustrated and got a technical foul. There were many situations, but I do not want to talk about it. It is a pity, there was a great effort." Kattash added that the game was decided on small details and stressed the need for fresh legs ahead of Thursday's matchup.
