The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, stole all the focus again at the state banquet held at Windsor Castle in honor of the President of Nigeria. Alongside an impressive green dress that serves as a tribute to the Nigerian flag, the one who stole the show was the nostalgic tiara that appeared on her head - the most beloved piece of jewelry of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

According to data published in Parade magazine, this is the "Lover's Knot" tiara, a historic piece of jewelry created in 1914 for Queen Mary by the jewelry house Garrard, and given as a gift to Diana by Queen Elizabeth II. According to industry estimates, the value of the tiara currently stands at over a million dollars.

The magnificent piece of jewelry, made entirely of platinum, gold, diamonds, and 19 hanging pearls, is known not only for its beauty but also for its considerable weight. British jewelry expert Maxwell Stone explained:

"The tiara was so heavy that it caused physical discomfort to Princess Diana" — a fact that only highlights the exceptional quality and richness of the precious stones set in it.

After Diana's divorce from the man who is today called by the title King Charles, the tiara was returned to the royal vault, until it was revealed again by Kate Middleton in 2015. Since then, the piece of jewelry has become one of the most identified with Middleton at official events, when this time it gave her a particularly royal and breathtaking look.
