A dramatic rift has occurred between senior criminal defense attorney Zion Amir and Channel 12 News commentator and correspondent Guy Peleg. The reason for the cutoff, it turns out, is Amir's support for Benjamin Netanyahu.
Amir provided the revelation in an interview for Omri Assenheim's program on Reshet 13 (to be broadcast tonight). When asked about the social price of being a "Bibist," Amir shared with pain about a complete cutoff by a prominent and well-known journalist. He described a close friendship spanning two decades, which included weekly shared meals, presence at celebrations, and even sitting together at a shiva. "He came to me and said, 'Zion, I don't want to talk to you anymore,'" he recalled.
Although Amir refused to confirm in the studio that it was Guy Peleg, Walla claims that he is the journalist behind the accusations. The attorney chose to attack the move sharply, defining it as "a great disgust" and "pathetic condescension." He summarized his feelings with demonstrated indifference using the famous movie quote: "Frankly, I don't give a damn." Guy Peleg preferred not to provide a response to the remarks for Walla.
