Lazio continued their impressive form in the Italian league under Gennaro Gattuso, securing a dominant 6-2 victory away against Sassuolo on Tuesday.

The visitors opened the scoring as early as the second minute when Kenneth Taylor capitalized on a poor clearance by the Sassuolo defense. Although Kristian Thorstvedt equalized for the hosts five minutes later, Lazio quickly restored their advantage through Gustav Isaksen in the 13th minute, following an assist by Mattia Zaccagni.

Just three minutes later, Romano Floriani Mussolini scored his debut Serie A goal, driving in a cross from Taylor to make it 1-3. The match slipped further away from Sassuolo in the 31st minute when Thorstvedt received a direct red card for a harsh challenge on Zaccagni.

Despite being a man down, Sassuolo managed to pull one back through Sebastiano Esposito before halftime. However, Zaccagni headed in Lazio's fourth right before the break from an Isaksen cross.

The second half saw Tijjani Noslin seal the win with a brilliant curled shot in the 55th minute and a powerful long-range strike into the top corner in the 65th minute. Although Zaccagni and Davide Frattesi both failed to convert penalties saved by Stefano Turati, Lazio comfortably claimed their fifth consecutive league victory, moving three points clear at the top of the table.
